What Bókun costs
Bókun publishes its plans. At the time of writing there is a free plan for basic booking management, then Start at $49, Plus at $149 and Premium at $499 a month, each with a booking fee on applicable bookings: 1.5% on Start, 1.25% on Plus and 1% on Premium. Its channel manager is a separate product with pricing on request.
Tourtify is a flat monthly plan with no booking fee on any plan. Prices are on our pricing page, the website is included, and the money from every booking goes straight to your own payment account.
Owned by a marketplace
Bókun has been part of Tripadvisor since 2018, and its marketplace connects you with Viator and other resellers. For operators who sell mainly through Tripadvisor and Viator, that close link is a real advantage.
Tourtify is independent and built around your direct sales: your website, your customer list and your brand come first, and online travel agencies are channels you add, not the platform itself. Your customer data stays yours and can be exported at any time.
Your website
Bókun offers booking widgets and a website builder. Tourtify's website is a central part of the product: themes made for tour operators, a visual editor and page builder, tour pages with itineraries, maps, reviews and FAQs, a blog and search engine settings, in up to 28 languages on your own domain.
Tours, treks and operations
Bókun's roots are in day tours and activities. Tourtify covers those and multi-day tours and treks: departures with day-by-day itineraries and printable trip PDFs, deposits, balances and instalments with reminders, rooms and extras, waivers and traveller details, guides, manifests and QR check-in.
Why operators choose Tourtify
What you get with Tourtify
- A flat monthly price with no booking fee on any plan
- A booking website and visual site editor included
- Operations tools: manifests, QR check-in, waivers, guides
- A clear checkout with real prices for every date

When Bókun may suit you better
- Most of your sales come through Viator and Tripadvisor.
- You want to trade products with other suppliers on Bókun's marketplace.
- Your bookings are few enough that the free plan covers you.
Moving from Bókun
- 1Export from Bókun. Download your customers and bookings as CSV files from your Bókun account.
- 2Start a Tourtify trial. Set up your business on its free address. Nothing you do there affects your live website.
- 3Import with a dry run. Upload the CSV files. Tourtify shows every row it will create, and what it will skip, before anything changes.
- 4Add tours and payments. Create your tours, prices and departures, connect your own payment provider and take a test booking.
- 5Switch your domain. Point your domain at Tourtify and add redirects from old links. Keep Bókun open until the bookings made there have run.

How much does Bókun charge per booking?
At the time of writing its pricing page lists 1.5% on Start, 1.25% on Plus and 1% on Premium, on applicable bookings, plus the plan price. The channel manager has its own pricing.
Is Bókun owned by Tripadvisor?
Yes. Tripadvisor announced its acquisition of Bókun in April 2018.
Can I still sell on Viator with Tourtify?
Yes. Connect online travel agencies through the channel manager plugin or OCTO, and every booking lands in the same calendar.
Is Tourtify cheaper than Bókun?
It depends on how much you sell and on Bókun's current pricing. Tourtify is a flat monthly price with no fee per booking, so its cost doesn't grow with your sales. Use the calculator on our home page with your own numbers and compare it with Bókun's pricing.
Can I move my tours from Bókun?
Yes. Bring your tours across with the importer or set them up in the console, add redirects from your old links, and switch your domain when you're ready. We'll help you plan the move.
Can I keep selling on other channels while I switch from Bókun?
Yes. Build and test your Tourtify site on its free address first. Resellers can connect through OCTO, and agents get their own links, so nothing stops while you move.
Do I need to sign a long contract?
No. Monthly plans have no long-term contract, and you can export your bookings at any time.
