  • Choose how long after a click a booking still counts

Working with partners without spreadsheets

Hotel concierges, travel agents and affiliates send bookings your way, and each expects a fair commission. Tracking that by hand means matching bookings to partners, working out percentages and keeping a running total of what you owe. Resellers & agents does this inside Tourtify. Each partner has a profile with their own referral code and commission rate. The plugin is available from the Growth plan.

New agents start on a default commission, 10% unless you change it (up to 50%), and you can set a different rate for each one. Commission is worked out on the traveller price after discounts, before fees and added taxes. Cancelled bookings earn nothing.

Referral links and the partner portal

Each agent gets a link to your website ending in ?ref= and their code. When a visitor arrives through it, your website remembers the code on their device for a set number of days, 30 by default. If they book within that time, the booking is credited to the agent automatically. A concierge who hands out the link on Monday still gets credit when the guest books on Thursday.

Agents also have a partner portal. They sign in with a single-use link emailed to them, with no password to manage. In the portal they see their own bookings and commission, check availability and book for their clients at their commission rate, to be paid later on account, and download a confirmation PDF for each booking. They only ever see their own bookings.

Settling up

Statements show, per currency and period, what was owed at the start, the commission each booking earned, the payouts you made and what is owed at the end. You can email a statement to the agent.

Some agents collect the full price from their client and send you the rest. Say an agent on 15% sells a $1,000 trip on account: they keep $150 and send you $850. “Collect from agent” suggests those figures and records both halves in one step, the $850 received and the $150 commission kept, so the booking is fully paid, the agent's commission owed drops by $150 and revenue stays at the full $1,000. When you use accounting sync, the commission goes to its own account.

A performance view compares agents for a period against the period before: bookings, travellers, sales, commission, average booking, cancellations and each agent's share of everything sold.
