One media library for your whole website
Upload photos, videos and PDFs once and reuse them anywhere: tour galleries, pages, theme blocks and downloads, with alt text set once for every place an image appears.
Overview
Media library at a glance
Every photo, video and document you use lives in one place. Upload from the library or straight from any picker in the console, and the file is ready to reuse in tour galleries, page content, theme blocks and downloads.
Good image details help both travellers and search engines. Set alt text once in the library and it's used everywhere the image appears, which also feeds the SEO score's image checks.
Capabilities
What's included
-
Drag-and-drop uploads
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, MP4, WebM and PDF up to 50 MB each, checked by their content, not just their name.

Find files fast
Grid and list views, filters for images, video and documents, and search by name or title.
-
Attachment details
Alt text, title, caption and a copy-link button, saved automatically.
-
Storage per plan
10 GB on Starter, 20 GB on Growth and 100 GB on Scale, shown at the top of the library.

Safe deleting

Preparing photos before you upload
Upload good quality originals. Your website resizes each photo for the visitor's screen and serves it in modern formats such as AVIF and WebP, so you don't need to shrink pictures by hand. The library accepts pictures up to 16,000 pixels on each side and 75 megapixels, which covers photos straight from a modern camera, within the 50 MB file limit.
Name files before you upload them. The title is created from the file name, so everest-base-camp_sunrise.jpg arrives titled "Everest base camp sunrise" and is easy to find later with Search media, while IMG_4021.jpg tells nobody anything.
Logos and icons can be SVG or ICO as well as the usual photo formats. SVG files are cleaned as they are uploaded, removing scripts and external references, and any picture that carries hidden code is turned away with a message asking you to export it again.
Alt text that helps travellers and search
Alt text is read aloud to people using screen readers and is what search engines use to understand an image. Describe what the picture shows and why it matters on the page, in one plain sentence: "Trekkers crossing a suspension bridge on the trail to Namche Bazaar" works far better than "trek photo" or a list of keywords.
Because alt text lives with the file, writing it once in the library covers every tour gallery, page and block that uses the picture. Start with your cover images, as the SEO score checks those first, then work through the photos that appear on your most visited tours.
Leave alt text empty only for purely decorative images, such as a texture behind a heading. Use the caption for text you want visitors to see, such as a photo credit or the place and season.
Deleting files without breaking pages
Before you delete a file, Tourtify looks for where it is used: tours, pages and blog posts, destinations and categories, your website design, hotel rooms, tour guides and your business logo. The confirmation names those places, for example a tour by its title, so you can replace the image there first. If nothing uses it, the message says so.
Storage counts the size of every file you keep. Videos and large PDFs usually take far more space than photos, so they are the first place to look when you are close to your plan's allowance.
A periodic tidy up helps your team too. Remove duplicates and old test uploads, and give the files you keep clear titles, so the right photo is quick to find when someone builds a new tour.
Documents, video and image protection
PDFs become tour downloads. On a tour's Media tab, the Downloads panel offers packing lists, maps or brochures from the library to travellers on the tour page, each with its own label. If a file is later deleted from the library, it simply drops out of the list.
For long videos, a YouTube or Vimeo link is often better than an upload. Your website shows a light preview with the video's thumbnail and loads the player only when someone presses play, which keeps tour pages fast and saves your storage for photos.
If other websites copy your photos, switch on hotlink protection under Website › Protection. Images delivered through your website's address then can't be shown on other websites, while search engines and direct visits still work, and depending on your plan you can allow named partner sites.
How it works
Media library, step by step
- 1
Upload
Drag files in, or upload from any picker in the console.
- 2
Describe
Add alt text and a caption once.
- 3
Reuse
Pick the file anywhere you need it.
What happens when I reach my storage?
New uploads are refused until you delete files or move to a bigger plan.
Can I use video?
Yes. Upload MP4 or WebM files, or paste a YouTube or Vimeo link on a tour.
Are uploads safe?
Files are checked by their content, so a renamed file can't slip through.
