When travellers want to pay by transfer
Groups, schools, companies and travellers booking higher-value trips often prefer to pay by bank transfer. With this plugin they book on your website, choose bank transfer at checkout and get your bank details and their booking reference by email. No card is needed.
The booking stays pending until the money arrives and you record it. Recording the payment confirms the booking. The plugin is available from the Starter plan.
Seat holds, reminders and deadlines
You choose how long seats are kept for a transfer: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 or 14 days, with 3 days as the default. Bank transfer is only offered when the trip is far enough away for the money to arrive; you set the minimum, which is 7 days by default. Closer to the date, travellers pay by card.
About a day before the seats are released, the traveller gets one reminder with the bank details again. If no transfer is recorded in time, the booking expires and the seats go back on sale.
A traveller who needs more time can get it. Extending the deadline moves the booking's deadline and its seat hold together, never later than a day before departure, and the traveller can be emailed the new date.
Your bank details at checkout
Enter the account holder, bank, account number or IBAN, and optionally the SWIFT/BIC and branch or sort code. You can add extra instructions, for example asking international payers to choose OUR so you receive the full amount, and rename the option at checkout. The email shows the amount due now, less anything already paid.
Reconciling your bank statement
Import a statement as CSV or CAMT.053. For CSV files, Tourtify detects the columns, the date order and the decimal style, and skips money out, totals and lines you have already imported. Each payment in is matched to a booking by its reference, amount and payer name, including the way banks often write names, such as surname and initial.
When a line has a booking's reference and exactly the amount owed, and no other booking fits, Tourtify can record the payment straight away; switch that off if you'd rather check every match. Everything else waits for you. One line can be split across several bookings in the same currency, lines can be ignored, and any match can be undone, with a full audit trail.

How payments plugins fit in
Payments in Tourtify always go to your own account with your chosen provider. Stripe is built in, and gateway plugins add the methods travellers use in their country. Deposits, balances and receipts work the same whichever gateway a traveller picks; refunds are sent through the provider where its API allows, or recorded when you make them in its dashboard.
