Who it's for

Why operators use iyzico

Operators whose travellers are in Turkey. Offering the payment methods people already use at home is one of the simplest ways to stop them abandoning checkout.

Highlights

  • Travellers pay with Turkish cards with instalments, the iyzico wallet and foreign cards
  • Money is paid into your own merchant account, never held by Tourtify
  • Payments are matched to the booking automatically, so balances and receipts stay correct
  • Works alongside Stripe and your other payment options

Good to know

  • Prices are charged in TRY, EUR, USD and GBP.
  • You connect your own merchant account from Payments in your console.
  • Payments are confirmed with iyzico before a booking is confirmed, never from the browser.

Instalments, the way Turkish cardholders pay

Paying in instalments is common with Turkish cards, especially for larger purchases like a tour. The iyzico plugin offers Turkish cards with 1, 2, 3, 6, 9 or 12 instalments, the iyzico wallet and foreign cards, paid into your own iyzico account.

iyzico appears at checkout for tours priced in TRY, EUR, USD, GBP, CHF or NOK. Its checkout form opens in Turkish when your website is in Turkish and in English otherwise.

What Tourtify records for an instalment payment

Whatever the number of instalments, Tourtify records the booking amount as paid, so the booking balance stays correct. It also notes the number of instalments and the total iyzico charged the traveller, which can include instalment interest.

iyzico requires buyer details such as an ID number and city. Tourtify doesn't ask online travellers for these and uses iyzico's documented placeholder values instead, so checkout stays short.

Confirmed with iyzico, never from the browser

When the traveller finishes on iyzico's form, Tourtify asks iyzico for the payment's details before it confirms anything. A successful payment confirms the booking. A payment iyzico is still reviewing for fraud is flagged for your team; iyzico usually decides within a day. A payment iyzico's fraud check rejects does not confirm.

For instant updates, paste the plugin's URL under Merchant notifications in iyzico, and ask iyzico to switch on webhook signatures (X-IYZ-SIGNATURE-V3). Tourtify checks them with your secret key. Pending payments are checked every five minutes either way.

Refunds

Refunds from a booking are sent to iyzico in full or in part. Tourtify remembers each refund for 30 days, so a retry never refunds twice.

Payment providers

How payment providers plugins fit in

Payment provider plugins add the gateways travellers use at home, from PayPal to Mercado Pago, Paystack, Razorpay, KOMOJU or eSewa. Each connects your own merchant account, so money is paid to you directly and Tourtify takes no commission. Stripe is built in; travellers only see gateways that support the booking's currency.

FAQ

iyzico: questions

Who pays the instalment interest?

That depends on your iyzico agreement. Tourtify records the booking amount as paid and notes the total iyzico charged.

Why aren't travellers asked for an ID number?

iyzico needs one, but Tourtify uses iyzico's documented placeholder so online travellers aren't asked for it.

What does iyzico charge?

Check iyzico's pricing. Tourtify takes no commission.

Can I use sandbox keys in Live mode?

No. Sandbox keys start with sandbox-, and Tourtify only accepts them in Test mode, so you can't take real bookings on test keys by mistake.

Which plans include iyzico?

iyzico is available on All plans, at no extra cost.

How do I switch on iyzico?

In your Tourtify console, open Plugins, find it in the list and switch it on. Its settings open straight away, and you can switch it off again at any time.

Do I need a developer?

No. Plugins are built into Tourtify and set up from the console. Where an outside account is involved, such as a payment provider, you connect it by entering your account details.

Does iyzico work with my other plugins?

Yes. Every plugin is built and maintained by Tourtify, so they work together: discounts, deposits, vouchers and fees all add up correctly at checkout.
