Discounts
Every discount in one place, shown on your website and applied at checkout. Promo codes and automatic discounts (Starter): codes and links with rules and limits, and no-code discounts for early bird, last minute, minimum spend and travel dates. Group discounts and dynamic pricing (Growth): savings for bigger groups, and prices that move with demand and season.
Who it's for
Why operators use Discounts
Operators running campaigns, partner offers, early-bird and group deals, or prices that follow demand, all from one place.
Highlights
- Promo codes with booking and travel windows, tour limits, usage caps, bulk single-use codes and links that apply the code
- Automatic discounts with no code: early bird, last minute, minimum spend and travel dates
- Group tiers, for example 4+ travellers save 5% and 8+ save 10%, shown on tour pages
- Dynamic pricing: early-bird savings, last-minute deals and surcharges for nearly full departures
- Every discount adds up correctly with deposits, vouchers and fees at checkout
One place for every price reduction
Most operators end up with several kinds of offer: a code for a partner's newsletter, an early-bird deal, a saving for bigger groups and higher prices on busy dates. In Tourtify these all live in one Discounts plugin, so the rules work together at checkout instead of fighting each other. Promo codes and automatic discounts are on Starter. Group discounts and dynamic pricing are Growth features of the same plugin.
Every discount appears as its own line in the price breakdown, so the traveller sees exactly why the price changed. It adds up correctly with deposits, gift vouchers and fees, and discounts apply to the ticket price rather than to extras.
Promo codes and links
A promo code takes a percentage or fixed amount off. You can limit when it can be used (the booking window), which departure dates it covers (the travel window, minus any blackout dates), which tours, tour categories or ticket types it applies to, a minimum spend, a minimum group size, a total usage cap and a cap per customer. For a partner campaign you can generate a batch of unique single-use codes in one go, for example 500 codes for a newsletter, all sharing the same rules.
Codes can travel in a link: yoursite.com/tours/…?promo=CODE. A small banner confirms the code will be applied, and it is remembered while the visitor browses. If you hide the code field at checkout, codes only work from such links, which keeps them private to the audience you sent them to.
Usage caps are enforced under a lock, so two travellers can't both take the last use of a capped code. A checkout that is abandoned gives its use back when it expires.
Automatic discounts and group savings
Automatic discounts need no code. A rule can reward booking early or late, a minimum spend, a minimum number of travellers or travel within chosen dates, limited to some tours or categories if you like. When several match, rules marked as combinable add up; one that doesn't combine stands alone, and the traveller gets whichever is worth more.
Group discounts set tiers per tour or for the whole business, such as 4+ travellers save 5% and 8+ save 10%. Only the best matching tier applies. You choose whether the whole group gets the percentage or only travellers from the threshold up: with “6+ save 20%” on the second setting, a group of 8 gets the saving on three of them. Tour pages can show “Groups save: 4+ save 5%, 8+ save 10%”, and the booking form can nudge with “Add 2 more travellers to save 10%”.
Each promo code has a stacking rule for automatic discounts: combine with them, replace them, or use whichever saves more. In the last case, if the automatic discount is already the better deal, the traveller sees a clear message under the code field.
Dynamic pricing
Dynamic pricing moves the ticket price by departure. Rule types are early bird (booked at least so many days ahead), last minute (booked within so many days), occupancy (the departure is at least a given percentage full), calendar (weekdays and date ranges, for seasons) and time of day. Adjustments are a percentage or a fixed amount per traveller or per booking. A price cut is at most 50%; a surcharge can go up to 100%.
Rules never stack: of the rules that match a departure, only the highest priority applies. Say a Saturday rule adds 15% and an occupancy rule adds 10% once a departure is 80% full. Give the occupancy rule the higher priority and a nearly full Saturday departure carries 10%, not 25%. You can show the reason to travellers (“Early-bird −10%”) or a neutral “Price adjustment” label.
Setting up Discounts
- 1Turn on Discounts. Switch the plugin on. Promo codes and automatic discounts are ready on Starter.
- 2Create your first promo code. Set the amount, booking and travel windows, tours and limits. Generate a batch if you need single-use codes.
- 3Decide how codes are shared. Keep the code field at checkout, or hide it so codes only work from promo links.
- 4Add automatic discounts. Create early-bird, last-minute, minimum-spend or travel-date rules, and mark which ones combine.
- 5Set group tiers and dynamic pricing. On Growth, add group tiers per tour and price rules with priorities, then check a few departures.

What you can set up
Discounts works out of the box with sensible defaults. These are the choices you can make, straight from your console.
Promo codes
- Show the promo code field at checkout
- Turn off to keep codes private: they then only work from a promo link (yoursite.com/tours/…?promo=CODE).
- Show a banner for promo links
- When a visitor arrives with ?promo=CODE in the link, a small banner confirms the code will be applied at checkout. The code is remembered while they browse.
Group discounts
- Show “Save X% with N+” on tour pages
- A short line under the price and in the booking form, e.g. “Groups save: 4+ save 5%, 8+ save 10%”. The discount applies either way.
- Nudge travellers towards the next tier
- In the booking form: “Add 2 more travellers to save 10%”.
Dynamic pricing
- Show the reason to travellers
- The price line reads e.g. “Early-bird −10%”. Off: it reads “Price adjustment −10%”.

Add-ons & extras
Sell extras at checkout: airport transfers, gear rental, travel insurance, single-room upgrades. Priced per booking, per traveller, per night or per item, with quantity limits, shared daily stock and a question per extra (e.g. shoe size).
Booking & traveller fees
Add a fee per booking, per traveller or as a percentage, e.g. park permits or a service fee, with amounts per currency. Shown as its own line and included in advertised prices, as consumer law requires.
Waitlist
Let travellers join a waitlist for full departures. When seats free up, the next in line whose group fits gets the seats held for a few hours, then they pass to the next.
Gift vouchers
Sell or give gift vouchers with a value. Travellers enter the code at checkout and it pays like money, across as many bookings as the balance allows. Unused value comes back if a booking expires or is refunded.
Point of sale
Sell to walk-ins at the front desk, a kiosk or on the street: today’s departures and merchandise on one touch screen, split payments (cash with change, card reader, wallets, gift vouchers), cash drawers with Z-reports, printed or emailed receipts with the QR ticket, and sales that keep working offline.
Rentals, passes & memberships
Rent bikes, kayaks and gear by the hour or day from shared stock, with add-ons, security deposits held on the card, and check-out / check-in with photos. Sell passes and punch cards used across tours, and monthly or annual memberships with member prices, free entries and early booking.
FAQ
Discounts: questions
Do discounts apply to extras and fees?
No. Promo codes, group tiers and dynamic pricing work on the ticket price. Extras and booking fees keep their own prices.
Can a traveller use two promo codes?
A booking takes one promo code. How that code works with automatic discounts depends on its stacking rule.
What “from” price do tour pages show with dynamic pricing?
The advertised price takes the deepest active price cut for the tour. Surcharges never raise the from-price, because some departures may not carry them.
Can I stop a code being shared on coupon sites?
Hide the promo code field at checkout. Codes then only work from the promo links you send, and single-use batches can be used once each.
Which plans include Discounts?
Discounts is available on All plans, at no extra cost. Group discounts is included on Growth & Scale. Dynamic pricing is included on Growth & Scale.
How do I switch on Discounts?
In your Tourtify console, open Plugins, find it in the list and switch it on. Its settings open straight away, and you can switch it off again at any time.
Do I need a developer?
No. Plugins are built into Tourtify and set up from the console. Where an outside account is involved, such as a payment provider, you connect it by entering your account details.
Does Discounts work with my other plugins?
Yes. Every plugin is built and maintained by Tourtify, so they work together: discounts, deposits, vouchers and fees all add up correctly at checkout.
